La Cocina

Okay, I promised I would not recommend a product I didn’t try first, but I am making an exception with this one.  This cookbook is from La Cocina, a non-profit food business incubator, based in San Francisco, that helps immigrant women start their own businesses.  If you have ever been to the Farmer’s Market at the Ferry Building they not only have a kiosk filled with products by these women, many of the vendors at the Farmer’s Market are alum of this great organization. From the delicious Momos from Bini to Miso by Mariko Grady. This book is filled with their stories and recipes.  Proceeds go to La Cocina, Yay!  There is a Kindle addition but this just feels like a book you want to savor, flip the pages and use.  My copy is on order and I’ll give a rundown when I receive it!
