His book is unapologetic, gritty, real. You read his evolution as a person and as a chef in both his memoir and in the recipes in the book. If you watched the movie Chef, he ran the food scenes and trained Jon Favreau. The food scenes are wonderful as is the movie. Now I am going to make his Ketchup Fried Rice, really.
